Àine Deane
28th October 2024 - 7:00 pm
The Deaf Institute

Áine is a 23 year old singer/songwriter based in London, who
started gaining traction on TikTok in 2021 whilst posting covers
and original songs from her university bedroom during the
pandemic. Her videos attracted the support of other artists,
such as Sam Smith, Little Mix and Ed Sheeran and her TikTok
now has over 270,000 followers. Since then Áine has

graduated, moved to London and gone on to achieve some big milestones. She has
amassed over 5 million streams on Spotify alone in just 20 months and her third
single ‘Handmedowns’ was BBC Radio 1’s
introducing track of the week in January 2022.

She has received constant support from the
BBC Introducing team – especially in
Cambridge where she has been interviewed
many times and who play her songs regularly.
Áine also played the BBC introducing stage at
Latitude festival last year, before also playing
the main stage at Wilderness festival and the
Brighton Dome for The Great Escape this year.

Live music is one of Áine’s favourite elements of this
career, having supported Sam Smith at the Royal
Albert Hall and been on tour with Hozier, Henry
Moodie and James Bay to name just a few.

Áine has also supported the likes of Maisie Peters,
Nina Nesbitt, the 502s and New Rules and has quickly
realised live music is where she converts the most
fans. Áine has played 3 headline shows in London at
The Lower Third, Omeara and Lafayette, in under a
year and all of which sold out quickly – the first of
which sold out in just 2 minutes.

Coming up this
summer Áine will
be playing Barn on
the Farm,
Boardmasters, 110
Above and All
Points East
festivals. As a
topliner Áine has
worked with artists

such as Mimi Webb, Cate Canning, Georgia Webster, Elle Coves and Arthur Hill.
