North-West London’s Lynda Dawn is a dynamic songstress, songwriter and producer,

making moves in the UK R&B scene. Exploring the sonic realms of soul, funk and jazz, she

draws from her musically rich upbringing to deliver a distinctive style of storytelling.

Dawn’s nostalgia-tinged tracks weave captivating grooves with celestial vocals, echoing the

crackling sounds of her parents’ record collections. She attributes her upbringing singing in

the church choir as her spiritual education in funk and gospel expression.

Dawn first emerged via Gilles Peterson’s 13th Brownswood Bubblers with her breakout

single ‘Move’ which quickly established her as ‘one to watch’. This success was soon

followed with her critically acclaimed debut EP, ‘At First Light’, establishing Dawn as a

standout voice in the soul scene

Over the years, Lynda has continued to cultivate a dedicated underground following while

diligently honing her craft and evolving her sound

Having already earned endorsements from some of her greatest inspirations, including

Patrice Rushen, Jimmy Jam, Arthur Verocai, and Azymuth, Lynda Dawn has solidified her
